A Moment Between Amy and Will

Will: So, it has come to this.

Amy: So it has.

Will: You really think you can defeat a master?

Amy: No.

Will: So you admit defeat?

Amy: I said no because you are no master, I am.

Will (Laughing): Oh, really? How about this, my ultimate attack!

Steps forward

You wish you could keep up with me, but you never will!

Amy: That was pathetic, Wolfie-Boy. I will show you true power!

Pulls out a piece of paper

Take this!

Will (Yelling): HOW COULD YOU! I THOUGHT WE AGREED TO LEAVE MY GRADES OUT OF THIS!

Amy: All is fair in Tease and War!

Will: Well then, I will counter with my true ultimate weapon.

Pulls a small object out of his pocket

WITNESS THE MIGHT OF MY SECRET WEAPON!

Amy: So, you choose foul play as well. Of course, you use the egg.

Will: Yeah, I’m pretty sure we all agree on the fact that your Magi-Tech project was an ABSOLUTE FAILURE!

Amy: Well your grades last semester were worse.

The two continue teasing each other

Dylan: Are they always like this?

Alice: Sometimes, it’s normal for Beauty and the Thief.

Dylan: What?

Alice: I’ll explain later.

It’s Hard to Say “Goodbye”

This story takes place before the events of Incantus Academy, book one.

A young girl, about to turn 8, walked over to a tree crying. An 8-year-old boy was waiting for her, “What’s wrong, Alice!” He said when he noticed that she was crying. “I-I-I’m…I’m moving to another town, my dad just got a grant and he’s having my family move closer to where the dig site is.” After she said that she collapsed on the ground, sobbing uncontrollably. The boy walked over to her and put his arm around her. “Ali, it’s going to be okay.” “YOU DON’T UNDERSTAND!” She yells, “I’m moving to a town that is hours away, we’ll never see each other again!” She looked down at her lap and said in a low voice, “I don’t want to forget you, Dylan.” Dylan smiled at her, “You won’t, I neither will I.” Alice stared at him, “How could we, we’re going to be hours apart.” “All we have to do is make sure that we do things that will help us remember,” Dylan says smiling, “and who knows, maybe we will meet again someday. So it’s not ‘goodbye’, just ‘till we meet again’!” Alice smiled at this and said, “Well, till we meet again. But, before I go, let's write one last song together so we don’t forget each other!”
